FORM 11

Ceramic Discs

Machined discs with concentric features for seats, wear faces and rotating duty.

Advanced Industrial Ceramics

On a disc the controlling feature is usually a face, not the outside diameter. Flatness, and the area over which it holds, decide whether the disc seals, seats or runs true.

Concentric grooves and a ring of holes are formed before firing, so their positions and the thickness tolerance are fixed early. Both are easier to hold when they are agreed before the tooling is made.

Made to your requirement

What is defined with you before production

  • Which face is the functional face
  • Flatness, and the area it applies to
  • Concentricity, and between which features
  • The mating part, and how the disc is located

Supply stage

Sample part first, then batch production on the same material and process basis. Ask for the material data sheet with your quotation.
