CUSTOM

Custom Engineered Ceramics

Parts engineered to your drawing: grade selection, geometry, tolerance, surface finish and inspection agreed before production, then held from sample through batch.

Custom Engineered Ceramics

Custom Engineered Ceramics is the second VINTEL-CERAMICS flagship series. It covers the parts that no catalogue form fits: a specific profile, a fit that has to hold in your assembly, a surface that has to seal or slide, or a duty that only one of the four material systems will survive.

The work starts from your drawing or from the application requirement itself. Material grade and formulation, forming method, sintering and the machining and finishing route are agreed against the operating conditions, then proven on a sample part before batch production is released.

A flat white alumina fork plate with a rounded yoke and drilled holes at both tips, on a grey studio ground.

Fork plate, robot arm geometry

A white alumina fork plate with a wide rounded yoke and a single central hole, on a grey studio ground.

Fork plate, wide yoke

Three components on a grey studio ground: two large white alumina fork plates and a smaller machined part, beside a dark component of similar outline.

Fork plates and a machined bracket

Three white alumina components on a grey studio ground: a stack of slotted blocks, a perforated disc and a plate carrying a grid of shallow pockets.

Six white zirconia bushings on a grey studio ground, each a short tube with a flared opening at both ends.

Zirconia flared bushings

A zirconia ring on a grey studio ground with two curved fins rising from opposite sides of the rim.

Zirconia ring with two fins

Eight small zirconia parts in a row on a grey studio ground, including a flanged rod, two cups and several stepped bodies.

Assorted zirconia machined parts

A spread of small zirconia parts on a grey studio ground, including slotted plates, an arch, stepped blocks and a shaped bracket.

Assorted zirconia plates and brackets

Twelve small zirconia parts on a grey studio ground, including slotted plates, shaped profiles and two long handled pieces.

Assorted zirconia flats and handles

A silicon nitride dome on a stepped cylindrical base, with six milled slots around the wall, photographed on a white ground.

Domed cage with milled slots

A silicon nitride set on a white ground: a rectangular bar with three bores, a stepped pin with a rounded tip, and four flat strips of different lengths.

Bar, pin and strips

Silicon nitride components on a white ground: a faceted post, a bar with end bores, a plate with three bores, two stepped rails and a pin with a pointed tip.

Blocks, rails and a pointed pin

Three assemblies on a white ground, each pairing a silicon nitride ball with a machined metal shaft and a threaded end.

Ball-tip probes with threaded shafts

Silicon nitride parts spread on a white ground, including rectangular blocks, a lipped ring, a toothed strip and a large block with bores.

Assorted blocks, ring and toothed strip

A large batch of ball-tip probes arranged in rows on a white ground, each with a silicon nitride ball on a machined shaft.

Ball-tip probes, batch

A stack of thin white plates held in a machined metal base on a grey studio ground, seen from one end so the laminations read as a ribbed block.

Clamped stack of thin plates

A long white ribbed insert seated on a perforated metal base strip, photographed on a grey studio ground.

Ribbed insert on a metal base

A row of thin white blades standing in a metal base channel on a grey studio ground.

Fan array in a metal base

A stack of thin white plates clamped in a metal base on a grey studio ground, seen at an angle so the layered profile is visible.

Laminated stack, three-quarter view

Three thin white blade arms on a grey studio ground, each with a widened end carrying two fixing bores.

Made to your requirement

What is defined with you before production

  • Grade and formulation selected against temperature, corrosion, abrasion and insulation needs.
  • Geometry and fit defined to the drawing or agreed from the application.
  • Tolerance and surface finish set by the function of the face — sealing, sliding, insulating or locating.
  • Inspection agreed to the drawing so the delivered part is verifiable.

Supply stage

Sample part first, then batch production on the same material and process basis. Ask for the material data sheet with your quotation.

Alumina Ceramics

High-purity alumina for insulation, high-temperature containment and structural duty where strength and electrical isolation have to hold at the same time.

ZrO₂

Zirconia Ceramics

Zirconia for wear duty: high strength and toughness with a fine ground surface that holds up under abrasion and repeated mechanical contact.
